Cheeseburger Pizza

Ingredients
    • Cornmeal, for dusting

    • All-purpose flour, for dusting

    • 1 lb. refrigerated pizza dough, at room temperature
    • 8 oz. lean ground beef
    • 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
    • 2 oz. extra-sharp Cheddar, coarsely grated (1⁄2 cup)
    • 1 head butter lettuce, torn
    • 1/2 pt. cherry tomatoes, quartered
    • 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
    • 1 tbsp. olive oil
    • Kosher salt and pepper

Instructions
    1. Step 1Heat oven to 425°F. Dust baking sheet with cornmeal. On lightly floured surface, shape pizza dough into 14- to 16-inch oval and place on prepared baking sheet. 
    2. Step 2Meanwhile, heat large skillet on medium. Add beef and cook, breaking up with spoon, until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in barbecue sauce.
    3. Step 3Spoon beef mixture over pizza dough and sprinkle with Cheddar. Bake until crust is golden brown and crisp, 20 to 25 minutes.
    4. Step 4Meanwhile, in large bowl, toss lettuce, tomatoes, onion, oil, and 1⁄4 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Top pizza with salad and serve immediately.
